MCare Solutions, Inc. (MCare), the nation’s first provider of Transfer DRG reimbursement recovery services, announces an additional service for the provision of revenue recovery services associated with missed Indirect Medical Education (IME) / Graduate Medical Education (GME) reimbursements.
Medicare Advantage plans are not required to reimburse teaching hospitals for IME/GME payments. MCare is able to conduct retrospective review of Medicare Advantage and Commercial payer admissions to provide teaching hospitals with the necessary information to submit an IME/GME claim to CMS. By utilizing MCare services, retroactive IME/GME reimbursements are available to hospitals to the beginning of the timely filing period.
“MCare is committed to finding niche revenue reimbursement opportunities for the hospital industry. There are more than 1,100 teaching hospitals in the country, each of whom is eligible to receive reimbursement from CMS if the necessary and correct information is captured in order to submit the IME/GME claim. Through our existing proprietary systems and services, MCare is able to provide this significant source of revenue for our client hospitals,” says David Jupp, President and Founder of MCare Solutions, Inc.
